Beneficiaries of the Great American Triathlon

Your tax-deductible donation to the Great American Triathlon will do more than help continue the legacy of this Sacramento tradition — it will help us pursue our mission of promoting health and wellness in our community. Our 2025 race will benefit area non-profits, including the American River Parkway Foundation, Court Appointed Child Advocates (CASA) of Placer County, and CASH Sacramento – Community Against Sexual Harm.

The American River Parkway Foundation

The American River Parkway Foundation is dedicated to conserving the nearly 5,000 acres of land surrounding the beautiful American River Parkway. Our mission is to nurture this natural park so that it may continue to be an accessible resource for our community to enjoy for many years to come. Our current initiatives include park clean-ups, habitat restoration, and trail maintenance. We are also working to address concerns about park safety, water contamination, and wildfires that threaten the park and our surrounding community. We appreciate your support in keeping the parkway a clean, safe place for our community to connect with nature.

CASA – Court Appointed Child Advocates

Our local CASA chapters work to provide court-appointed volunteer advocates for children and youth who have experienced abuse or neglect. We operate under the belief that every child should be given the chance to grow up in a safe and loving home. Our best-interest advocacy makes a tremendous difference for the children we work with, many of whom are in the foster care system. Together we can change the lives of local children by providing them safety, support, and the chance at a brighter future.

CASH – Community Against Sexual Harm

CASH was created by Sacramento Police officers, survivors, professors, Oak Park residents, and a business district in response to an increase in exploitation and trafficking activity and the futile cycle of arrests, re-arrests, and imprisonment. A needs assessment identified a “safe and non-judgmental” space where women could receive support, referrals, food, and access to basic care. As a result, Community Against Sexual Harm (CASH) was created in 2008.
