2021 Update

It is with tremendous sadness that we are announcing the cancellation of the 2021 Great American Triathlon presented by Innovations Health. Given the uncertainty of the Covid-19 Virus, and specifically how it relates to mass gatherings, we hope you understand that this is the only responsible course of action.

If you rolled over your entry from 2020 to 2021, you will automatically be rolled over to 2022.

We are extremely sorry we are unable to build on the success of our inaugural event and celebrate another fabulous Great American Triathlon with you.

Please stay healthy and safe and mark July 16, 2022 on your calendar for the next Great American Triathlon. We look forward to seeing you next year for another great event.

Best wishes,

Ken McGuire and the GAT organizing committee

Hydration

July is one of the hottest and driest months of the year. Even though the race takes place before the heat of the day sets in, It is still important to remain hydrated throughout the race. Hydration bottles are required on all bikes. Water is distributed during the run portion of the race, and having hydration available during the paddle portion of the race is strongly encouraged.

Medical Emergencies

Medical personnel will be stationed throughout the course should a participant, spectator, or volunteer need assistance. If you observe a participant who is experiencing a medical emergency or who is struggling in the water following a capsizing, you are required to stop racing and provide assistance until support arrives.

Run Course – 5.82 Miles

Cycle Course – 12.5 Miles

Paddle Course – 6.1 Miles
